They got the part number from the exploded view of parts of a 444 engine. They cut the hose off a bulk spool. By the way, that was in February and no leaks since. I would think that they would use the proper hose on customers trucks.
I want to shim the pressure regulator with a copper "BB". The BB is .177 caliber. when I convert 3/16 of an inch to caliber units it comes to .1875. with a diference of .0105, is this an allowable diferance?
Cowboy Steve, I checked that hose from International and what I have left says Fleetrite gas and fuel with some of the part number. I don't have enough left to get the pressure rating.
Hmm, well if you got it from the dealer Im sure it would be the right stuff. I know when I did mine i had to go back to the stealership and get the right hose for the job. they sold me some cheap black rubber hose and what came off the truck was pressure treated blue line for high pressure apps. I made sure to get what had come off. I hated pulling that pump and I wasn't about to do it again cause some moron at the stealership gave me the wrong hoses. lol, how many times this has happened..... You wouldn't even begin to understand, lol
