Casey I think your far enough away that our trucks will never cross paths! yes lights are bolt in, same bulbs same connectors. the only difference is the park/turn bulbs are amber instead of clear. The headlight bulbs are 9007, the turn signal bulbs are 3157na and the two corner lights are 916na
And an update as far as how everything drives. The headlight so far seem good but I haven't gotten to drive at night with them yet just very early dusk.
The IC is working great. But today I did some city driving and had to do some hammer down starts to get into traffic and did notice a increase in lag. It is comparable to my stock fueled, no chip 95. This truck has bigger injectors and a smaller exhuast housing on the turbo that helps with lag. So I went from no lag to just a bit of lag. I think even with the IC its still a bit better than my 95 was. I guess I will just drag stage it when I need to get into traffic!! better lock in 4wd for that.
has anyone ever changed the intake plentiums i have the 3" intakes from beans what am i going to get into changing them im also changing to superduty y pipe and turbo i have installed the intercooler
IIRC the 3" intakes hit the turbo. But I don't know if beans are different. And I don't know if that still applies since you have upgraded the turbo. But that's all I can think of.
Have you tried those stealth light bulbs? They are for your turn signal. they look clear or colorless when they are not on, but when you use your turn signal they light up amber. They seem pretty nice, but I'm not sure how they would look in your set up. I found them in the perfromance products magazine. If you have the latest issue or you can even look up on the internet. Here
Hey tJbeggs nice job on yur intercooler set up...by the way i was just wondering if you will see an increase in power by installing a intercooler???besides the temp drop..
Casey I have seen those light bulbs. I have considered LED bulbs. I might try them later. I over spend on the light and needed to put a freeze on performance spending for a bit. One of these days I will try the LED's but those stealth bulbs would look good I am sure.
808trucken I have heard from a few popel who dyno'ed before and after and they said a gain of 20 or 30 hp. I can't remember which. Thats a decent gain in my mind. In my case it would be $10 per 1 HP assuming about 25 hp gain.
