If you have a problem and you have to call Edge for help, they will ask you to fax or scan and email a copy of your invoice. If the invoice shows a price bellow MVP they will not warrant the item. Plus they now have the name of the company that violated the contract we all had to sign with Edge, and you will no longer be able to purchase Edge products as a dealer. This is the new system Edge has put into place to re-install value in there product. If you notice, you can't buy Edge on Ebay anymore. They actually have a contract agreement with Ebay that Edge products can only be sold thru an Ebay store, and it too has to match MVP price. This also includes Superchips, MSD, MSD Ignition, and RacePak. MSD is the mother hen that has purchased these companies, and they have gone to great lenghts to regain the value they once had.
Is it a good idea or bad idea? I dont know. Will it hurt them? Short term probably. but long term probably not. There are other companies in the process of instituting the same type of program. I just do what I am told by the manufacturer.

Not to rain on anyones parade but how much more value is needed to warrant a manufactured item? DOES this not sound a bit of price fixing? Yeah I said that!
I do retail everyday, and I got NO problem with another company selling for what ever price they decide or what ever profit margin they need to stay in business.....A product, lawfully purchased, with legal negotiable funds has the right to "warranty " protection as should one paid at full "mfg suggested retail", and this is where it lies suggested retail........... with this in mind these folks I will not be spending my monies...... and thats eveyones right to spend or not to spend...... but if you do whether its on line or at a store ...if its new and purchased lawfully its warranty sould be aplicable......If I have fouled anyone my appologies.....but its just an opinion.....
