no I dont. I am in the intial stage yet and still determining if it is even feasable for me. It doesnt do any good to get the parts if I can find a functional supercharger or one that costs sky high. I am hoping to find a kit so I can one stop shop.
To me, reasonable means fair. As such, expect to spend several thousand dollars for the supercharger components. Would you call that reasonable?
The odds of finding a complete original kit are slim; you're probably going to have to piece it together.
There is a guy who makes brackets for "modern" blowers. He lists them on Ebay now and then, but again, several thousand dollars. That's just the way it is.
Another possibly cheaper option is a turbo, but it will be cheaper only if you can install it yourself. Rebuilt turbos are actually pretty cheap so if you can install the bypass valve, wastegate, if external, make the tubing, run the oil lines, etc, you can boost your engine pretty cost effectively. But turbos are a little more difficult to tune with carburetors because they are much more dynamic than a belt driven blower.
I agree with your definiton of reasonable. I would like to get a vr57/vs57 but I think I will just have to keep my eyes and ears open to get it. I will just have to start saving now and hope I come across one. I think if I go for the instant gratificatio it will cost me alot more. I just hope it isnt a pipe dream.
