alright well im in mid-progress of my air management and train horn install. im probably going to finish off tomorrow hopefully but anyways my question is.. does anybody know where the wire for your normal horn in the column is and what color it is?
Why not just wire it off the stock horn at the harness plug? If the horn cluster is going to be outside the cab, just use the wiring that is out there already... right at the stock horn...?
He means that when the horn button is pressed that wire will put out 12 Volts with a positive polarity. You need to make sure that is what your horn needs. Some horns have 12V+ at them all the time and need a switched ground in order to make a sound.
thank you, thats what i was making sure of cause my old sonoma had a 12+ source all the time so when i wired my valve to my horn like that it went off all of the sudden.
Another question, wheres a good 12+ constant source only when the key is in to use in the cab near the fuse box, to just set off a relay.
