Factory Horn Wire

Hey guys. Me and a buddy are in the middle of installing train horns in my 05. I figured I would be able to find the horn relay in the fuse panel under the dash so i could tie my train horn into the factory horn wiring. Unfortunately the owners manual has no listing for a horn relay.

I was wondering if anybody knows the color, location, etc. of the factory horn wire or where the horn relay is? Any information that leads to me hearing this horn tonight will help. Thanks

Can't you just use the wire connected to the stock horn for the relay?

There should be a yellow and green wire located under the passenger side battery. It is a power wire for the horn circuit. it's a positive signal to work the horn.

Thanks guy. I actually found the horn wire last night. I knew i could have tied into it under the battery on the passenger side. But i wanted to install a horn to switch between oem and train. So i would have had to run a wire from the factory horn in the engine compartment back into the cab...but Im really picky about stuff looking factory...theres nothing i hate more than having a bunch of wires running everywhere to be seen.

I wanted to find the factory horn wire under the dash and i found it on the back of the fuse panel under the dash.

Hey no problem. What kit did u get and where did you mount them? I'd like to get some real train horns but man those things are high priced.

Wouldnt you need a small air-compressor to run true train horns. And, in all honesty. WHY?

I bought the kit from seige engineering over 2 years ago. I was going to put it in my old truck but never found the time....it was all sitting in my garage in the original box and i was thinking about selling them the other day. But I had somebody pull out in front of me and almost take off the front end of my truck and i was like if only i had train horns....wait i do have train horns haha. So I talked a buddy into coming over last night...drink a few cold ones and install some horns.

I installed them on the passenger side frame rail of my truck. I would also love to get some real train horns. If I ever have a extra grand or two sitting around ill buy myself a set of nathan k5la's, a huge tank and better compressor.

The nathan k5la's are the bomb but i still can't see spending that kind of money on em. I'm not that die hard. Yet..... I'm thinking about the klein setup but just haven't got to it yet. Have fun with your horns buddy
