fuel pressure shim
I was wondering does shimming fix the spring fatigue or just to increase the fuel pressure? I'm wondering because I read that the stock fuel pressure spring begins to fatigue 10% at 10,000 cycles so with 230,000 miles I was wondering how much weaker my fps is and if I should do the shim mod. Thanks

Some are at a lower pressure than others brand new from the factory. Typically, you would find that your fuel pressure is anywhere between 44-56 psi in stock form. Bumping up the fuel pressure does help to quiet the idle a bit, and makes the engine feel a bit peppy.

I just did this last week, and i just put the bb in their and it went right up to 75lbs. The idle is quieter, and it feels(but anytime i do something i feel something different) a bit better off the line. I havnt experimented yet with it since im going to homebrew up regulated return so once that happens i wouldnt have to experiment with the shims.
