welcome to the forum......not enough info to get an answer for your particular situation......
Basically you need a sending unit on the engine somewhere....it screws into the block.......that has oil coming out of it.....that goes through a copper line to the back of the gauge and the needle responds accordingly.
your 93 has non-mechanical i think......electronic gauge that responds to a small electric signal.

I "THINK"......and i'm stressing "think"........you should be able to find a mechanical sender to screw in where your electronic is now.......I have no idea on years......I'd go to a good ford guy and talk to him about it.
Makes sense to me that you could also drill and tap a hole for one......but I've never done that.
Anyway......this will bump you back to the top and someone that really knows can answer you.
Good Luck

Its on the drivers side of the engine block, aft of the distributor, large nut with a white plastic piece on it with a single wire pushed ontot the top of it.

Not too difficult, but I had to buy an extra-thin end wrench to get the original sender out, but most of the sensors are just dummy gauges, check HERE and HERE. I also put a photo in my gallery of where I mounted mine. I ran the hose under the power brake booster and through a pre-drilled hole on the driver's side firewall.
