yeah, but i'd hate to have it on there and then something happens and ford says, that it caused something rediculous to happen even if it' not the elbows fault, i'll end up battling with them over warranty repairs if they open up the hood.
i'm sure it doens't take long to swap the oem one back in for a trip to the dealer. not like i'm there every month.

leave it stock then.......ford is looking for any excuse to denie warranty work because IH and ford are fighting in court over this very issue.....
well, they'll be even stricter with the new 08 and up MY's. so if guys want to mod their trucks at all, anything past special windshield wipers, or a bug guard, they'll end up paying for most of the stuff out of pocket i'm guessing. maybe not all, but you can't even touch the new exhaust on the 6.4 so in 10 years, what's the aftermarket exhaust market going to look like?
i plan on putting the elbow on, but if i have issues with something else and i need to take it in for a problem, then i'll just swap in the oem. i'd like to see the benefits of having it on there for better flow
I have heard that there is a law, in California at least, that in order for a warranty item to be rejected, the company had to "prove" that the modification had caused the specific failure.
With all the legal bull @$@#$% about voiding warranties, I don't believe that statement and sure don't have the money to take it to court to find out.
I am hoping that maybe someone else has heard of this or read it some where.
It is probably just another modern urban legend. Anyone else hear about this?

Need to watch the bug guard/screen some dealers (like mine) threaten that it will void warranty if you have a overheating problem due to lessening airflow through radiator. They even threatened a freind of mine after he installed a CB radio with the power wires going to the battery because he "modified" the electrical system.
i was thinking more of the bug guard that goes on the hood, but you have a point. lol
ya just never know.
the one on the hood could void my warranty because it affects the air flow over the truck and ford designed it and spent millions on airflow, and if the turbo goes out, maybe that was caused by the bug guard on the hood.
lmao
