I'm hoping someone tells me that may be the problem, and then I can get my money back. Waiting to install it until I reset my computer again and see if plugging that thing back in works.

Oh, yeah, the 2 ends were kind of laying there together...and they clearly go together.
outside shape is the same, they fit, they have the same color wires, and both ends are coming from that box thing.

I have a Haynes, but have no clue where it is at the moment. I've plugged it up and haven't seen a difference, but like I said earlier I reset the computer, but haven't driven it anywhere yet to see if the light comes back on. I won't know if it worked until tomorrow.

Me too. Even if that fixed the problem, it's really bugging me not knowing what it is!
And I'm gonna be really upset if I go down there tomorrow and the b/f just looks at it and says something like "oh well that's your ......" I'll be cranky for the rest of the day..LOL

Well, I'm hoping it doesn't happen, but I just have this feeling that I've racked my brain over the last few days, and now gotten other people curious as to what this thing is only to have him know as soon as he sees it! LOL Which is just my luck. But even if it does happen, I won't be cranky for long, because we have a little project for his car this weekend. HID foglights came in today.
