I'm a night owl....lol. The truck would be a lot prettier after a new coat of paint...she's a work truck. Since I changed out the grill, I now have the daunting task of getting the yellow jackets out of the holes in the stainless....lol
LOL, pulverized bugs on the bod are almost worse than roadtar sometimes.
I "discovered" an OUTSTANDING cleaner from the truck dealer, who uses it to get pitchpine out of upholstery, tar off of clear-coated paint, gunk out of carpets. I'd not seen any one cleaner work like this. Just a sec and I'll get it from the shop to post it's info, in case ya' want to try it.
cool! I'm just hoping I don't need to get the tweezers out for this one. It's not bug guts....it's the whole yellow jacket...looks like he got his head stuck in the mesh...LOL
Ye, the little critters are always aiming for the hardest places to get at 'em.
Here t'is: "Acrysol" by Kent Automotive. It's pricey, $12 a quart ordered online but is lasting forever, doesn't take much. Takes the grease out of upholstery, road tar off of a new clearcoated car paintjob or off of an old truck's paint, cleans off adhesives. Doesn't leave a film or haze that I can see. Sori to sound like a salesman, but this stuff is good.
Thanks for the info! I was wondering about getting grease off the seats. I replaced the hoses on the EVAP canister purge valve yesterday, and my hands got as black as the truck and I left a hand print right in the middle of the seat...grey cloth seats! So I'll definately have to give that a try.

Or the throwaway seat model: My first car was an insurance company "total" I bought when 15yo. Had to replace the rear quarter and straighten the rocker panel. When I turned 16 the interior was still gutted but I *had* to drive it cuz it's one of those teenage things. So I cut the legs off of junkyard kitchen chairs for the front seats, and two guys laying on the back floorboard, no windshield or back window yet and we drove to highschool. Stupid, but what a great time woot! Ahhh, the 60's...

It's always good hear from a fellow autodidact. I believe 1% comes from lectures and the other 99 is a mix between life experience and the books I read.
