I have seen a few different versions of this video (different locations). Each time, it looks like the Fords are always in 2wd. It appears that the Chevy also holds its brakes until the Ford starts spinning its tires and loses traction, then the Chevy takes off, pulling the Ford. Its also kind of funny that in all of these videos, they always bring in the Ford Super cab with a 5.5' bed vs a Chevy Crew cab (weight differences??). Looks like the Ford would have more work to do pulling the larger truck. Why not match up two trucks with identical configurations and put them both in 4wd? Then again this all takes place at a Chevy event, you think they are gonna let the Ford win? Also, despite all the negative comments about Ford's 5.4L against all of the competition, its seems to hold its own if it is rated at towing 10,500 lbs-11,000lbs with only 300 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. Seems like all of the other trucks need an addtional 60-80 more horses to pull in the same range. With all of that "extra grunt" these Tundras, Titans, Silverados, and Rams should be Pulling alot more than 10,000 lbs. Even though the competition has really stepped up their game, Ford has and always had a real winner with their whole lineup F-series trucks. Just my $0.02.
I say a video of a chevy pulling a ford, but the thing was the chevy was in 4wd and the guy driving the ford stomped on the gas a spun the wheels thats why the chevy pulled him, but hands down ford will out tow any chevy.

2007 F150 XLT Supercab 4x4 5.4L V8
yea they were lucky i wasnt driving. i saw that and i knew it was only staged for the chebby guys
It is got to alot with how the truck is set up and driver, driving etc. I just purchased truks gone wild 1,2,and 3 after watching sum put on junk chevy pulling ford and dodge pulling ford on utube I mean come on who in there right mind would believe that. TGW it's all for real any thing goes after wathing the fords triumph I knew the utube mess was set up. On one show on tgw there is an old school ford 79-80 f250 4x4 pulling a new f250 diesel 4x4 check it out trucks gone wild.
A GM truck stock couldn't pull a stock ford, my brother has a 2001 GMC Seirra 1500 4x4 with the 5.3L Vortec V8 he has a cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust. He tought he could pull me, so we hooked up (and my 07 F150 is stock) we both used 2wd and went when my friend counted down, we both spun but i dragged his GMC across the line like it was a tonka toy. FORD POWER!
I can't belive chuvy doesnt have budget to create a profesional advertisment. I can do a better video with my personal videocamera outpulling crap chuvys.
Ya you ford guys crack me up. Low end torque ..... now look at the new PSD it doesn't make peak torque to 2000+rpms and the duramax and cummins both make peak torque much lower, even after the great and mighty dual turbo setup was going to reduce turbo lag. What a bunch of BS.
Awe hail the new 6.4 Torque King.
I can't waite to watch you guys stammer, studder, and tread water. You guys are so shallow it is unbelievable. I sapose you guys think the toyota actually survived be shot out of a cannon and landed on an island unharmed, or that a big CAT bulldozer wouldn't crush a Ford frame.

You mean that wasn't real...I'm glad I saw this post, I just rented two bulldozers and was on my way out to try to crush my truck...you just saved me alot of money.
The lack of bottom end power is the only thing I don't like about my 6.0...it is tough getting heavy loads going.

So nice of you to grace us with your presence. What? I thought Toyota was indestructable? Could be worse, we could have to listen to John Couger singing to us. At least the commercials you noted were entertaining.
I have a feeling we ( as Ford Enthusiasts ) are going to see alot of these posts now that the new Super Duty's are going to wipe the floor with the competition. Haven't they been doing that already?

i wasnt talking about the 6.0. i already know how bad it is about low end torque. in fact i was riding in a 04 F350 when we blew a gear out of the torque shift because my buddy liked to floor it every where cause it dosent get up to speed very fast while pulling around 17-20k on a 44 footer gooseneck full of massey tractors. i was simply talking about the 3 valve 5.4L V8 currently in the fords. because accoring to ford (believe it ya want) say that 300 foot Lbs are made at only 1000 rpms or around there. from what ive seen the specs on the competion they usually above 2000 rpms before they top the torque curve. but if u wana argue about how much crap it is then i guess we will have to hook em to a trailer drag up a hill as youve said in another post. about the new 6.4 did you know it puts 274 hp and 630 foot lbs to the wheels because of the "bs" twin turbos. just somthing to think about
