i have a 2000 superduty f250 4x4 and want to do a really cheap lift on it due to the fact that the truck is a bit of a beater at the moment.
can anyone explain to me exactly what problems i might end up with if i just add some 2 or 3" blocks to the front axle? how will this affect my steering?
i realise everyone says they are very, very bad and i should feel shame for even mentioning this subject but doesn anyone know what would happen if i was to use them? extreme axle wrap? steering geometry way off?
i know someone that owns a ford truck wrecking business and has a pile of about 100 blocks waiting to be taken.
if i go the route of the add-a-leaf or shackles then how many inches can i go up before i have to start changing steering parts?
Around 3"s is max as to where you will still be able to use factory parts.Any higher you will need a drop pitman and a lower pan-rod bracket to keep the steering geometry. Also longer sway bar end links plus shocks.
