International Part Number: IHC#1807339C92
If you own a 7.3L Powerstroke, you may already be aware of the shortcomings of the stock Cam Position Sensor (CPS).

It is common for the CPS to fail causing the engine to run poorly or to stop running altogether and it usually happens at the most inconvenient times, such as in traffic or pulling a load so many owners carry a spare CPS.

A new International Harvester CPS can be installed in the Powerstroke engine and will make the engine run quieter, smoother while increasing performance and mileage.

The IHC CPS provides a stronger more consistent signal to the Ford computer which results in a more accurate injection of fuel and better running engine with easier starts.

Works on all 99-03 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel
94-97 models may require shimming to install correctly.

This part has a 90 day warranty from date of purchase.

It's a CPS for a DT466. Works in our trucks, but it's not an "improved" CPS. The way it reads the cam position can change the timing in your truck slightly. That change in timing can change the way your truck idles.

What Pocket said plus it won't play nice with certain aftermarket engine performance tunes(didn't like my DP Tuner 80hp econo tune).

I was just looking for it a few minutes ago to post the link. All I can remember is a crazy amount of posts and the black is better unless you have blue, or had black, went blue and now have black again....

Yeah, you got me there, but I wanted to believe the CPS did more good than it did. I am sticking with black. You gave me a good laugh there Orezona!

If anyone needs to know about the BLUEY vs. BLACKY debate
Read the thread....

I was one of those guys that went from a black CPS to a blue CPS to black CPS. Now I have a black and blue in the glove box as spares. If anyone wants to swap a slightly used blue for a slightly used black, throw me a PM.
