Hello everyone i am new to this forum but i am not new to forums in general. I used to have a 2005 Ford ranger Edge with a 7.5"-4.0" Lift on 35's. I was part of ranger-forums almost ever since i owned it. That truck is now totaled due to a Rollover wheeling accadent. About 2 month's ago With the insurance money and a little financing i got a 2004 F-150 5.4 S-Cab 4X4 and i love it. It has just over 82,000 miles on it so i decided to change the pluges. I was toled to go to ford to get the plugs so i did. Those thing's are expensive! Well i noticed that there was an extended part on them and it wasnt aluminum but the head's were. I dont know whats up with that but to me that seemed like a design flaw. So i used some PB and let it sit for about 20 minuted and reshot it and tryed to get the pluges out. I got one but the second decided to come out wiht only the nut portion and half the porcline. The rest of it minus the diod is still in the truck and i cant get it out. If any one has any pointer's for me i would like it very mutch. Also i was going to change my fuel filter but i cant find the fuel pump relay so i can pull it and turn it over to release the pressure. So a little help with that would be nice also. Any way i should be on here quite often and i will try to help any one as anyone will probibly help me.
The extended part you may have found may have been your Coil... part of the COPs set-up on these new 150s (Coil On Plug)
You may want to spend a bit of time thumb'n through this forum, you'll find a lot of valuable info for your minor tune-up goin' on... Plus everything else!

Go back about 4 pages in this forum and you will find all you need to know about these plugs and how to get them out but hate to tell you, you are in a large mess!!
Ya i figured i was in a bit of a mess. Oh well i guess no matter how hard you try there will always be a flaw or a mistake. I was thinking if i get a good vacume can i just drill out the porcline and then use an easy out or that tool i saw in another thread.
I am by now means an expert on this but beleive I have read if the porcealon stays in the ground shield even the ford tool won't work as I think the ford tool taps some threads in the ground electrode then they thread a rod in and pull it out???? YOu may be looking at pulling the head and to do that ford recommends removing the engine as it is fitted so tight in under the firewall in truck replacement is pretty hard??
