i switched to red wings 3 yrs ago, i know own three pairs. i have a bad wear pattern so boots dont last for me. my cats crapped in 9 months. doc's are awesome comfortable but didnt work do hot for work. my 1st red wings are still in my locker at work just need a resole but made 2.5 years. then bought another pair at 2.5 and they are wearing like iron also. we get 1/2 paid by the company every 6 months, so i bought some waterproof ones know. They have a smell problem that i have never had before. about 2 months old, smell like dead fish when i get out of them, never happened before and i rotate my boots constantly never wear consequtive days unless forced by weather.
I swear by Ariat boots, I wear them every day on concrete and they last and are very comfortable. They come in steel toe if you need them. I promise that you will love them. They wear like iron and are the most comfortable thing I have ever found, I am pretty picky on my boots and have problems finding ones that are wide enough. I have broken both of my feet over the years and they are the only one that pass the comfort test for me!
I wear Justin western cut work boots, lace up type. By far the most comforatble boots I have worn. I usually have two pairs, one pair shined up for dancin' at Gilley's, and when they get scuffed, they become the work model. My boss calles me a redneck at work.
I resemble that!
Danner, on my first pair, best boots I ever owned. I wore Wolverine DuraShocksfor many years and liked them, before that I wore Redwings.
I work at an oil refinery and walk on concrete, blacktop, climb ladders all day.
The Danners I have go just above ankle, brown leather with black rubber over toes. Very comfortable and waterproof as boots get. I am 49yo and a little overweight, very "picky" feet,I must have comfortable boots, some guys work with get away with $39 K marts, if I tried that I wouldn't be able to walk at the end of my 9 hour shift.
I work on a rock crusher. I've stood in water half way up the boot, mud, sand, gravel, anything. I've had Georgia logger boots for 3 or 4 months so far. They are still in pretty good condition. If I oil them all up they look like new. Very comfortable with a break in period of about 1 day. I think they were about $150 at general store. Most people I talked to said they were good boots.
