clutch adjustment?
just wondering if there was any way to adjust the clutch on a 1984 f150 I-6 3spd OD? it falls halfway to the floor before grabing.. clutch itself seems ok. also has plenty of fluid in the cylinder.

Could it be the clutch pedal itself that travels too much. On my 1984 F250 351 4speed hyd clutch, I have to rebuild where the clutch pedal arm hangs from the cross rod. There is a metal bushing in there that has worn out, and I don't think is available any more. I have to take it apart and mess with it.

There are actully several plastic bushings that can be purchased at Napa. The one from the clutch push rod to the pedal is known for causing your type problem. Costs around 6/8 bucks too....Just pull the pedal up and down and look to see if there's play in the connection points.
