9in.???

what did the 57 ford 1/2 ton pickup have for a rear end? Was it a 9in.?

9in.???

1957 was the first year for the 9" Ford rearend. It is easy to identify by the direction that you would remove the gears. If the carrier unbolts from the front, it is a 9". If it comes out the rear, it is probably a Dana rearend.

01 = 3: 70
02 = 3:89
03 = 4:11

I also have a 57 1/2 ton and it came with a 9" standard equiptment. Ashley
