I myself would rather know what the highest temp is. Me running stock right now when i punch it i get around 600 to 800 degrees. How much will that climb if i get a chip on the stock exhaust. Im not going to do it but im just curious now that i know what is going on.
The probe in the uppipe/manifold will give you the highest temps and show increase/decrease quickest. On a any exhaust with a chip it can get to 1200 pretty quick, thats what the gauge is for to let you know to back out of it.

Ha Ha Ha Ha. That is how we all started. Any good chip is like crack cocaine. You will never want to drive your truck without it afterwards. Better not get in a well chipped one, or just succumb to PMS and get it over with.
BTW, these inconel probes have not been known to fall apart and go through the turbo to my knowledge. You should be fine.
LoL Yea i guess haha. Im sure if i had one on there i would not want to take it off! I keep on telling myself, EXHAUST FIRST!!! LOL thanks guys Im going to be postin pictures of my guages on my Album.

Yep, you are on the right track. Once you get that exhaust, (some don't even wait and straight pipe the stocker so the funds are available for the chip), you could get a chip. A lot of folks recommend a VB or some tranny mod first. I did not go that route.
I can say my TS woke my truck up. Based on what Strokin_it says about the DP, my truck might need further awakening, though I knew DP stuff was good when I got my TS, I just had to save at the time and got a deal.$$$
Bully dog has a mod for your transmission. Its only 80 or 90 bucks. Im not sure what it was called but it lets the line pressure get higher so your trans shifts smoother. Im thinking about that.

I think you may want to divorce yourself of the bullydog site. I don't believe they have a proprietery lock on anything you cannot get elsewhere. Besides, my TS chip handles all my shift strategies right now. May want to check what BD source code is. BD is good for Sunday morning viewing and all the advertising hooplah, in the end, I think it is TS software. Make sure you know what you are purchasing.

Couldn't of said it better, I like the DP chip a whole lot more than I liked the BD chip. If you like what bullydog has for the tranny, order a shift kit from Transgo, they have several, ranging from simple springs to very involved. I put a heavy duty repro kit in mine when I went through it. I would do it again in a heart beat. Much rave about BTS Valve bodies as well, right fully so as well. Brian knows his stuff. If you are a little leary about it, just call him up and ask about the VB, you'll be surprised. There is also a kit that is referred to as Sonnax. it consist of three springs and a new accumulator valve. Nice improvement as well, but for a little more you can get a very nice transgo kit with a programming plate.
thanks guys, i wasnt really on the BD site i just new that they were reputible name and heard good things about them, but i order most of my stuff through xtreme diesel
Im loving my guages more and more every day! I drove it last night for the first time and i am glad that i put in the red lenz covers. My dad loves them so much he wants me to take the dash apart and scuf and paint them black clear coat. He wants to go black on the door panels too. That piece thats above the inside door handle. It sparked a bunch of mods in his head that he wants me to do. Exhasut is out of his reach right now, and also is a chip. He just wants some interior mods. He also wants the white faced guages inlay so it matches the Phantoms. But i just want to thank all of you for all your help. I wouldnt have been able to do it without u guys! Thankyou again!
HAHA not the guages sorry, My interior is grey, around the radio and the stock guage cluster is a darker grey. My dad wants everything that is that color he wants black. I think that it would look pretty neat. alot of scuffing on my part but i think it will be worth it.
Im all ready thinking about it. Im tryin to sell some bronco parts that i had from a while ago. Theyre brand new and i just didnt use em. So im tryin to sell those parts and my Surround sound system so i can get the exhaust system. Then after that il start worring about the chip.
