King I got a question for ya. What color is your interior? I want to paint my A pillar to match my interior, is the paint something I can pick up at any auto store or paint store, or will I have to go to the dealer. Where did you get yours?
When I ordered my gauges, I ordered the paint as well. Got mine from egauges.com, most every site that sells gauge pods usually carries interior paint to match.
I went to a Automotive paint supply place. I Got the SEM Color Coat. The Part Number is 15163 and the color is PRESIDIO. My color was grey in the interior.

Thanks I will go get some and paint the pillar before install
Well i Went Friday morning and got it all fixed. They didnt have em in stock so they said Tuesday. So i just scuffed up the pillar really good and painted it and bought all the wire to install it. When i get that Thunderbird that im putting the front end on done and out of my garage il pull in the truck and start on it. I cant wait im Itchin to get it done. Heres a question, What is the order that you put your pods in. Im thinkin i want to put the Boost in the one closest to me, Then the EGT and then the temp guage last and furthest away. O yea and some other good news. After i get paid from doing this job i might get an exhaust system for the truck too. Il get all that done before school starts. The exhaust i found in summit. Its a 4 Inch Turbo Back kit for 293 im thinking. Then the chip. Im thinkin the Bully Dog 4-Bank. Its cheaper and i heard alot of good things about it. I can also swich between levels which i like. I love these trucks for Mods!
I have my gauges in the same order. The summit kit works well from what I have heard but for a few $$$ more you could have a "Cannon" 5" delivered.
The BD chip is basically a TS chip sold under the Bully Dog name IIRC. I might be willing to part with my TS 6 pos chip at a good price. I am looking to get a DP. Think about that. If you are still considering the BD and are interested in my TS, send me a PM. Strokin_it may also have one available cheap but I cannot speak for him.
You can set your gauges in the pillar any way you like it is really your preference. I am going to go 6-Gun, pyro, boost, trans temp. Keep us posted on how it turns out.
Hey King, do yourself a favore and install a seperate reostate for the lights in your gauges. When I put mine in, I couldn's see anything due to the brightness of the guages after it got dark,That wasn't any fun at all, lol.
I put my gauges in that order, boost top, EGT middle, Tranny temp bottom. I put the one that moves the most closest to my eye and went down from there. For the exhaust, Mark Romriell (MKO diesel performance) sells a 4" exhaust system cheaper than that i believe, one of my friends (Pwrstrkn') bought a 5" system for $295 i think he said. Can't touch that price!
Oh and for the chip, i have my old TS chip i think you will really like. Really makes smoke in the 140 setting. Since you are a 2002 you probably have the same VDH2 PCM code i have and it will plug right in because its the same code and won't need to be reflashed. its a 6 pos. chip and ill sell it to you for less than that Bullydog crap. PM me if youre interested.

For the gauge lighting, you need to tap into the blue/pink tracer wire that comes out of the back of the headlight switch, on the dimmer plug. If you do this for gauge lighting, it will dim the gauges with the rest of the dash. I assume you put a 12v supply to the gauge's lighting?
Thats what I did when I first hooked them in, but mine are the C2 by autometer, and perhaps they are brighter. I had the dimmer set so low I could just see the dash gauges, and the pillar gauges were still to bright. The left side of the windshield was just a big blue blur. But I also have very light sensitive eyes as well. I agree with you on the chip, take the TS over the Bully Dog anyday.
The BullyDog is just that, a DOG!!! I know I just made the switch to DP-Tuner, absolutely hands down no comparison. The DP will run circles around the BD chip. I used to have a superchip chip prior to the BullyDog, I think the superchip was better in some aspects than the BD, I did like the BD better for towing than the Superchip, the BD didn't run as hot in the tow program, but did have noticably less power. Now the DP 60Tow, Holly COW, that has more power (going by seat of pants here) than the BD 100 setting. Just much smoother power. 80 econo setting, even better yet, just cant believe it. And then the 140 Extreme, is there and eclipse somewhere? Lots of smoke and lots of fun. If you are thinking of a chip, definately consider DP-Tuner, worth every bit. On the other hand, if you can get a used one that matches PCM code for a good deal, go for it.
Also, I hooked my gauges in with the blue wire as previously mentioned, for me they are fine, maybe a bit brighter than the dash but liveable.
