Well, I think that is why Strokin-it asked if you bought a kit or not. I have DiPricols and mine came in the kit. I believe you can buy a pryro gauge without the thermocouple probe. May want to ask the shop about that. My thermocouple came in it's own box in the happy package of gauges from ITP along with an install wiring kit.

Your gauge should have come with a probe. That is very strange that the Pyrometer gauge did not come with the Probe. I am sure you have one now or are in the process of getting one. I would go back to the store or call Auto Meter dirctly and see if they will comp you in any way. I just got my 4 gauge pillar and all my auto meter gauges and they came with all the parts. Hope everything works out.

I went back to the place that we bought them from and it turned out the part number of the guages that i recieved where #5743 and thats without the thermocouple and the one with it was 5744. We got charged for the 5744 Thermocouple kit. We got everything straightened out but its going to be Tuesday when i can pick them up due to the holidays. I just painted my A Pillar plastic and im just getting ready. Got all the wire today also. IM READY! If i have any more questions i will post em. Heres one out of the blue..... Anyone know how to take the headlights out of a 94 95 Thunderbird? My buddy hit a deer and im in the process of Replacing the front end. So far its not going to good. If anyone knows give me a jingle. Thankyou

I believe there are two L-shaped spring type locking brackets that hold them into the actual mount. I think you just move the short part up and out. Should be located on the body right above the light. If you can't find them, don't worry, I cannot be sure that year/model had them

I have the phantom gauges as well, I installed the Red bulb covers as well as replaced the dash inlay with white face as well that is red at night. I like the red look much better. Anyway, I am very happy with my auto phantoms. Good luck with the install

Thanks i figured out how to take out the lights on the t bird. And yea im planning on Running the Red Bulbs. I cant wait till i see that baby all lit up! I got a wiring question and i didnt even start tearing into it yet. Where can i get my 12 Volt Connection. Also lets say i need a 12 Volt for each guage. Can i take two power wires for two gauges, Connect them together and add them to the 12 Volt power source as one guage? Sorry if it sounds weird i can elabrate.

I tied all of my power wires together in the pod and then ran one wire to switched power using a fuse tap in the panel. just make sure you get the switched side of a switched circuit.

Pretty much the same story here. Also, the one link I sent you should have you covered for the illumination tap. If not, let us know. Somebody here has the same year truck and gauges wired. Always check with a test light or meter before connecting, I'm sure you know that.

Yeah I wired up all the gauges up on the bench, all the lighting and 12V source wires are all connected in parallel and one wire for each wire going down the column.
