Sorry to hear about your back, Cap. Sorry to hear you had to get rid of the SD. Sorry to hear you had to buy a V6???? What the hell?? A V6??? LOL!!
Hey man I understand, the Mustang purchase and all, but a stinkin' V6?? My cousin's 05 GT pulls down 19-21 all day long. A little better if you can keep your foot out of it. Hey, that sounds familiar.......
Anyway, good luck man. I'm just ribbin ya a little bit. I seriously hope you get your back straightened out and that you still keep posting here. Good luck and enjoy sitting in your living room, watching that NJ snow, listening to some Marshall Tucker, thinkin, "If I only still had my 10er....". Good luck brother and happy holidays!!

Dave

Capt, sorry to here of the loss. On a side note if "ol blue" was a crew cab I'd be on a flight to New Jersey. Some one's gonna get a hell of a pullin machine with those 4.56s and all those performance mods. Just a question, but was the dealer aware of all of the extras, did you keep any of them, or did you just send em with the truck for someone else to enjoy?

Yep, I gotta give ya some ribben for owning a mustang with 4 less plugs than your truck, 2 less would be acceptable, but 4 less!!! On the other hand I'd surely be happy to get rid of my payment book, another year or so to go!

Just curious but how are you gonna move the boat, or did that go the way of "ol blue"?

I had a 79 Pinto wagon with the V6. May be a completely different engine but with mild mods I was clocked at 131 MPH. There is a lot of pony's in a Pony.
Drag an old slick or bump-side home to tinker with and the ribbing will stop.
I am going to get two or three more back and neck surgery done so I understand your pain. I have had problems with drug additions (thanks to the 60's that I can't remember) So I only use pain meds when I have to travel or crawl under house to fix pluming etc. So I mostly sit around to keep the pain to a bearable level.

I was just thinking about this charlie, but you should of come here and traded! The crooks down the road wanted $29,900 for and 05' V10 CC SB Lariat with 62k miles within the last month. Sure it was a nice truck, but I could buy the same brand new for a touch over 35k!!

Dang, Cap, hate to hear you had to give her up...

But, I've known a few folks that bore that burden with a good, stout replacement like a Stang!

Hope this change helps... Good luck!

thank you all.
the truck had to give way to health and how far a social security check can be streached out on any given month.

sle she was stripped of all the mods except the 4:56's well before i traded it in.plus she already has a new owner. one of the dealer techs has asked to buy it. guess he knows how they run or may even be the teched that worked on it when was reflashed. to a ford tech it will be well cared for. i'm thinking darn i left the fomoto valve in it. cheap enough i'll just order up a new one.

i'll still be hanging in v10 here. why waste what i know and have learned from the gang here for the new guys.

monsta.

if i could have kept her i would have. but at 60. with a bad spine and very limited income . one has to think of what to keep, buy and how to live. at least the spine held out so we could see the wonderfull land you live in before takeing a bigger dump on me.

steve i think you have my normal email send what you want to know off.

for a very short time the car is in a tech gallery which i will remove in 2 days as long as the mods and webmaster understand it's short time only so you can see it.
again thanks for the kind words guys,

monsta sure i'm going to miss it .just that i can't climb up to get in any more. and yes it's only got six pistons. and 210 hp but it still moves out very well.

Good picts and snazzy looking stang Capt. You do have good tastes. I bet it's fun running thru the gears with that six banger bouncing against the rev limiter before each pull of the stick. How long before you start super tuning on that little sweetheart?

I'd think that the back seat would be a little crowded, though, with that cane laying across the seats. Man, there is NO room back there!

Good job!

That back seat sure does look about the same size as my Cougar. However, the passenger seat looks to go way back against the rear seat, while my Cougar has at least space for the kid's legs.

Maybe I have to re-examine putting a 5.4 in the Cougar

Charlie, after you emailed me, I had to check back here to see what you posted. Best of luck with the new Mustang. I know how much you liked the big V10 and I hope I never am put in a position where I am forced to sell mine, but who knows........... the future is always a mystery . Take care, hopefully the back improves and I hope the Mustang gives you the same thrill that V10 did. All the best, Wrench.

I'm sure that you will miss the V10 but I really like the new Mustangs and with a 4.0 it should give you a good kick in the 6. Is the V6 a overhead valve or a push rod motor.

I know the real reason for the Stang in it will pick up more girls (at your age Lady's). Good Luck

Denny
