if you want i'll try and send some more wind back your way,we've had enough already for the winter, highest my gauge read was 72 mph on this mountain top this week.

and it's bad enough that we are under the flight pattern for runway 18 and have the 40 mile marker for newark liberty international just a short distance away. high winds and big jets make for loud noise at times , christ are they comeing though the house from the sounds.

Charlie, Which one is quicker in the Quarter. Big Blue V10 or little Blue Mustang.
Wifey wants a Mustang GT convertable but that will have to wait for the money tree to branch out.

Wink

I should be up your way in June, I'll stop by for a test drive. If you happen to have a Ford GT in the showroom, I'll try that out too.

Best of the season to you, We missed the wind the other night. South of us got it bad.
How is it up north?

I only wish we had a GT here because I wanna try one out too

We hardly got any wind at all. It's snowed a bit the last few days but that's about all.
I'm sure our turn will come though.

I drove a GT couple months ago. I think my drool stained the steering wheel, front of the seat and the carpet in it. I wanted it so bad until my wife saw the back seat. (Can't fit 4 kids in it)

Cut them back at the Lulau's. Four skinny kids would fit. And the longer ya go between meager meals the quieter they get.

i dont blame you at all, the reason i got rid of my 97 f-350 was teh ride...it was killing my back on long trips, my f250 rides like a cadillac compared to the obs 350's

we did drive a very nice one named shellby just almost 90k was forget it, gt same way to much cash, and to fast for us with a v10 right foot yet.

monsta our dealer will have the same problem cleaning that leather steering wheel off. just not from me. from the lead footed wife who still misses her 85 gt with it's blown 347 motor. darn deer just had to walk out in front of her. shes luckie it had the roll bar or they would have had to cut her out of it, when it rolled over.

wrench

truth i don't know!

it now has only has 130 miles on it thanks to driveing to a marshall tucker band concert last night. gut feeling is the big v10 over the baby shoc v6 . the 3:31 gears are just to high. maybe 3:73's for it spring time and some for fords specail toys they sell for it. installed by the dealer..

big thing is my back loves it and it's still carries the big blue oval on the body to keep my ford blue blood running true. and if i need a pickup that bad i can take .level10power. shop truck and use that for how ever much time i need it.

Charlie, my humble advice, enjoy the car stock. If you wanted a fast Mustang you should have got the V8, on a new vehicle, maybe less cash than gears and toys. You bought it for comfort and good mileage. Low gears don't change the mileage that much in pickups, but it sure does in cars. Take care and enjoy the new Mustang V6.

advise taken don!

you are so correct i do enjoy the comfort this worn out old frame needs. Plus my disablity check won't streach very far for any toys, for now just some deep winter rubber floor mats and some more mcguires leather cleaner conditioner, and fresh easy to use wax from them.

i do beleive my days of fun with hot cars or boats is over. but not my days of being able to share all the knowlage in my brain from 42 plus years a mechanic with the younger people who can use it to fix or save money on repairs as a diyser

The V6 Stangs are no slouch. Sure, they're not V8 quick, but they get a bum rap from those that remember the days of the 88-hp 2.3 Fox bods. A new V6 should lay down 190hp and 230 ft/lbs to the wheels once broken in. Tune it and add about 15 to each of those numbers. That's 87-93 5.0 territory, just in a little heavier car. I would say it's fairly possilbe to sneak one in the 14's @ around 90mph without anything at all done to it...other than a decent driver.

I'd drive it

correct keith!

stock it is no slouch already as the wife ran out the gears yesterday going to the concert. 210 hp and a t5 trans. i have seen v6's at the track running right where you think they may with just a tuner. and that will be cost free as i still have my excalibrater 2 and access to sct's dealer advantage 3 soft ware and know how to use it. format it so it works on this one. not as well as our web master can but still ok. again i don't think even that will happen

the car was purchased due to needs and cash to play may never be unless my part time boss level ten desides to give me toys like he did for my v10 super duty to try for him. and my feeling thats going to be better tires then the perelisits that are on it. as he has ready said what no michilens.

funny thing here i joined a mustang forum . first thing, first post i got rapped with no v8 the car is junk. just like we see here with some of the hard nose psd guys against the mighty v10. want to talk about fast moderators. bang the guy who said it got banned right then and there.

Charlie, I got some nice winter mats from Costco yesterday. They are Michelins and real cheap for a set of four. They have lots of different cut lines to fit most trucks or cars. I got them for a gift for my Son but I think I may get a set for my F350. They are real thick and soft.

Wow, i haven't been able to hit the site near as often as i used to. Mainly outta jealousy towards you guy's and your trucks But i have to say cause of ppl like you Capt and Wrench and a few other's that have taught me that the V-10 is a righteous motor, i no longer look for anything else no matter how many ppl try to tell me about there diesels. I do understand about health problems and how it can keep us from enjoying some things in life. So best wishes with the little stang.

I do have to ask, cause i know you did several mod's to your truck some good some bad. In your opinion was any of it worth it or is the '05 or newer V10 better off just left alone?
