Check Enging light is now on and the codes are P0174 and P0171. Does anyone know the nature of the problem of these two codes?
Thanks........

It means Bank 1 and bank 2 are lean acording to the o2 sensors
It can be fuel delivery or a a leak in the air induction after the maf or leak at the pcv valve hose .
Also could be intake o-rings.

The most common causes are either a dirty MAF or a bad elbow on the PCV hose(especially where it hooks to the back of the intake).

here is a web site with the codes listed and information on what to check .

http://www.obd-codes.com/index.php
and the link to what they say for your thrown codes
http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_cod...gen-sensor.php

it lists all the codes for almost all the sections with a obd code,

if you have a trans code check out the code lists in out web site for what a traans code has been found to need foer the repair.

good luck man

Well replaced fuel filter, PCV valve, cleaned the MAF sensor and code still there. Looks like time to change the hose from the PCV valve and elbow. Anything else worth changing before taking to the dealer?
Thanks.....

Not really. Just verify that there are no other vacuum leaks.

Did you clear the codes after that and have them return?
