a welder isnt really needed, you could just clamp your pipes together.

messure and cut the pipes to length, find a local exhaust shop to flare the ends of the pipes so they'll slide together and then clamp them.

the pipe would cost ya about 30-35 bucks, autozoo has clamps for like a buck a piece.

if you dont have a sawsall then a hacksaw will work, just a little slower. wallyworld has hacksaws and replacement blades for less then 10 bucks.

well mine goes to the shop in about 7 hours to get the 2nd cat off(and make sure first one is good) and straight pipe from there back...if it is too loud or not sounding good then I will add a muffler....probably flowmaster....love that SBF/flowmaster sound.

well my exhaust is all done and man does that truck sound so much meaner than it really is. removed the 2nd cat and straight 2.5" pipe from there back splitting to duals before the axel then all to the back. it is a tad loud standing behind it but just as quiet in the cab as it was when it was broke in front of the muffler....which was far quieter than you would expect....no one knew the exhaust was bad. I can take some vids if anyone wants to hear it!!

I can however do anything to the single exhaust that is currently on the pickup, but i have to use the stock tail pipe,

i dont know if i would just get a piece of exhaust pipe the same length as the muffler is and put that in place of it, if it would sound good or not, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Oh, by all means replace that muffler with a straight pipe!
My goodness, that's so simple, it makes you wonder why the Ford engineers didn't think to do that!

the second video is of me revving it up a few times. it's amazing how it sounds outside and inside while driving you can carry on a conversation and hardly hear it.
