Well my light came on and i plugged in my Flashpaq to read the DTCs and the code p2285 Came up. What does this mean? The Dicription on the flash paq makes no sense to me at all. What should i do?
It's a code for the injector control pressure sensor. Uninstall the flashpaq, drive your truck and see if you still have the code. If so then see your dealer.
So go back to stock and clear DTCs then see what i get? I dont think its the flashpaq causing problems ive been running it on performance for months now with no problems.
Yeah my name is my truck. Its a 2003 F250 CC SB King ranch with a 6.0L PSD. I guess ill put take the superships out and take it into the dealer today. Kinda tight on money plus have a fishing trip 300 miles away i have to drive to at the end of the week.
Well i Uninstalled the superchips but when it does that it automatically clears DTCs. So i put it back to stock and drove to work ( About 10 min of driving) and the Engine light is off so i hook up the flashpaq just to check DTCs and there is none. What should i do. Still try and take it to the dealer. But wouldnt they wonder how it got cleared. Also the parts that i might need replaced are they covered under the 100k engine warranty? Any imput would help. Just trying to get my truck 100% before i go on my fishing trip.
it might have just been the tuner. but if it was the icp sensor leaking, the light should come back on but it might take a few times to set it. it would be something under the 100. deductible.
Well i just called the local Ford Dealer, got an Appointment for tomorrow. Hopefully truck will be Fixed ASAP and i can take it on my trip. If not looks like no fishing for me.
Yeah. Just talked to the dealer again gonna drop off the truck to night so they can look at it ASAP. Hopefully truck is ok or fixed fast cause talked to my buddy who got the trip together. He just talked to the Captain of the boat were chartering and they are pulling in a average of 500lbs of Tuna a day.
Well i got the truck back today. had to pay the 100 Deduct. On the invoce it reads, that they replaced the ICP Sensor Part#3C3Z-9F38-EA. While doing that they did a inspection on my engine i guess and said i need a new top radiator hose bcause it was spoungee and would blow out soon. I asked if it would be covered under the warranty since the item is attached to the engine but i was told no that it is a maintnece item and will cost $130 for the change. I declined them doing the change and picked up my truck. First off is it a problem if the hose is Spounge and also doesnt 130 seem high to change a hose. And last but not least should this be uncer the 100k warranty?
No hoses are not covered under the 100K warranty. Yes a spongy hose is a sign of the hose failing from the inside. $130 is a little pricy if you can do it yourself, hose shouldn't be that expensive (haven't priced on lately) and a gallon of coolant. So if you can do it yourself you will save money, otherwise you are going to pay the dealer there money to cover overhead, profit and parts.
Just went to the local autoparts store 1 Upper Hose was a total of $15. Dealership or should i say stealership said the hose is like $40 and all installed would come to a total of $130. I stick with the $15 and little but more for coolant and do it myself. Thanks everyone for there info and imput.
