Aftermarket BOX
I have a 1978 f 150 351m C6 4x4 and i need a new box all rusted out and dented cab is rust free almost new floor is done all i have left is cab corners
but any way i need a box one of my friends had a catalog with over sea boxes with out tail gates he moved cant find him so i wanted to know if anyone knew where that was or is there more than one place thanks

you can peice em together if you can weld or know someone who does but since they are not ome you may have to modify them a bit.
look on google there was a company making all fiberglass replacement panels for our trucks

If you can weld, then here is an idea.
I read somewhere on this site that people have taken 1980 to 1996 beds, and put 73-79 bedsides on them, and it worked fine.
Although I have never tried it myself, the inside of the box, on my 1973, and 1981, looked identical to me.
It's at least another option to look into.

yep .. the guts from the 80-96 or so pickups are the same .. been their done that.......
takes a bit of work.. but it can be done..
you have to salvage a few parts besides the bedsides..
need the rear posts(which you can buy replacements for ) from the 73-79 pickup.
and need the front caps from the bulkhead to the bedside(have yet to find anyone repoping those)
Ive done this a few times both with short and long boxes... alot of work but well worth it in my eyes..
