ABS light on

just because the abs light is on does not mean anything is wrong with the brakes. you will need to determine which sensor is throwing the code. then repair as necessary. oh, when the abs light is on, the system will not operate.

you will have to hook it up to a scanner to find the code. i think there are 3. 1 on each front hub. and 1 on the rear diff. if you dont have a scanner, you might want to try and remove and clean the rear diff sensor. after you do it, you have to drive it over 10 mph and the light should go out. if not its one of the front sensors. i'm not sure if the front sensors are offered seperately. i just replaced both front hub bearing assemblies on my X and the sensors came with the new hub.
