I got a 0-6000PSI Hydraulic Pressure Gauge. Is there a way to hook it into the HPOP lines to make sure at WOT it is building enough pressure? I keep throwing the 1211 code(Injector Control Above/Below Desired), and i want to make sure my HPOP is strong so i know if i will need to replace it soon. As anyone else done this before?
You can tap into the high pressure oil rail where one of the test plugs are right on top of the head. Whatever you do don't run the gauge into the cab.

It not going to be a permant gauge. It just going to be used for a few WOT test to see if the HPOP is keepin up? Im probably going to duct tape it to the windsheild so i can see it. What should I except to see if it was keeping up? Should it stay at 2800PSI or how low should it drop? I just keep pulling that code and i do want to know if the HPOP is keepin up so what should i look for and expect.
What kind of chip do you have, and what setting are you running it on when you get the code? That info will be important in determing what your HPOP pressure needs to be to keep from setting off the MIL. The chip is calling for a certain pressure, but the HPOP can't supply. Different settings and chips call for different pressures.
This is kinda wierd. My truck in the Extreme setting will never run above 20 lbs of boost. When i switched it to Race, it can hit 26 everytime. I just relized that today because i switched and now that i think about it there is no 1211 code on race but on Extreme i can get it really fast after a short WOT run. My buddy who has the same truck, the one who actually owns the EVO, never gets that code on extreme. I hope the HPOP isnt dieing on me.
