great, thanks man. ya i am digging around looking for the best price... just using that for an example and to get a part number. i have HEARD that not all HPOP's in the newer trucks are all 17*. dont know how true that is but i just want to tip toe around to be sure i am not buying the same thing i have.

have you tried any of our sponsors like itp or riff raff to find one? They may have a discount for fte members

For that price you can get an adrenaline from www.dieselsite.com. I believe that they were 589 and they put out more than a 17

...But that price includes a new IPR valve too. Most don't need an Adrenaline, especially when you need custom tuning to run the Adrenaline and you don't for a regular 17° HPOP.

Watch the core charge when buying a HPOP. My supplier requires a like for like core back when making a HPOP purchase, so you might have to eat their $300 core charge, too. My core charge is $150, they are making a ton on the core charge and not the pump.

this is my problem... i dont have a 17* core to send back so i dont have a choice but to swallow the core. i do want to replace the IPR while i am in there too. thats why that "combo deal" appealed to me. if i am gonna be in there, i might as well do it all at once.

and i do have the supporting mods for the adrenaline, but like you said i dont need it!

thanks for the insight guys.

Look on fleabay. They are fairly cheap now a days. I recently bought a 17° pump with the IPR and hoses for around $175 shipped. It was sold as a core but that is just because they don't have any history on it. I will have it rebuilt by Joey at Terminator.

That being said there are alot of ones out there and if you watch closely and bid at the last minute they can be had cheap.

Also you can get one from International for around $350 but their core charge is outrageous. I think like $500 or more. But they didn't require a like for like when I spoke with them. If you need a like for like 17° pump for a core we may be able to work something out. I have a few pumps on the shelf but only one 17°.

If you get the Adrenaline, you don't have to have a 17* as a core. I bought one back just before thier intro sale price ended for my 96 F250 that only had a 15*. Bob knew it was a 15* and had no problem taking it as the core. Unless he has changed his policy since then.

Jim, why do you say you need special tuning to run the Adrenaline? Mine runs like it did when the 15* was in it on the stock tuning, I just am not getting the full advantage of it because tunes would call for call for more pressure over the stock tunes.

Your call but if you were within $100 of the adrenaline, that would be my choice, but I don't know the pricing from Terminator either.

I'd call Joey at Terminator Engineering and see about getting a modded 17° from him, I do know as of today he had to raise his price for the mod but I don't know how much. Its not listed on his website, you have to call him or send him an email.

Joey is working on some swash plates to be able to mod the 15's so that us OBS guys don't have to get a 17* pump and then have it modded, we can just send him our pump and be done with it. I told me that the machine shop is just backed up so he just has to wait. Might try sending him an e-mail and see what he has to say.

Most of my customers that had the Adrenaline and stock injectors didn't notice anything.
But those with larger injectors have to run custom "Adrenaline-ized" tunes due to idle issues.
