dropped pushrods
my engine was backfiring I took off valve cover and the #3 pushrod and the #5 on my 1982 4.9 had fell down into the head and do not move when motor is turned over can some one tell me what happened? do I need to pull off the head?

torque specs?
Im just curious about what is the right amount of torque for the rocker arms? My chiltons tells me the specs on other Ford engines but not for the I6's. I have heard about tightning them down until they stop then backing them off 1/4 turn. But then the rocker arms can move side to side. Im on the finishing end of rebuilding my 300. I just need to get the rocker arms torqued right, then onto the stuff outside.
