I know it's kinda early to start talking about this but lets start anyway. We need to start throwing some ideas out and see where we stand. Let's talk about the goods and the bads of our 2006 meet and try to improve on them.
I would like to see us have something a bit bigger in 2007, maybe even some sort of show and shine for the guys that are interested. Throw in a few more activities and have a few things for the family to do also. I know we won't be able to make everyone happy but I think we can come pretty close.
One member suggested having a chapter meet planning committee.
I don't think it's too early to start planning for an event like this at all. I like the idea of a planning committee, but it may be kinda hard to get things together for people. Live committee meetings can be very productive, but for this, we'd have to have online meetings since we're all so spread out. Maybe anyone that's interested in being on the planning committee could agree to have an Instant Messenger such as Yahoo or MSN Messenger?
You know I'll always vote to have the meeting in the Lake of the Ozarks. Lots of fun stuff to do down here for families and centrally located within the state. I can look around at other locations other than the park we were at and also, maybe some better hotel/motels.
I really like the idea of a show and shine event too. Maybe we can find a place that'll let us have some racing events so CodySchmoe and I can settle things. lol AND- for Cody's knowledge- It should be a street legal truck!! No homemade for straight out racing!! Gotta keep it fair Cody!! Roflmao
Well, as slmann mentioned, you won't be able to please everyone...but Lake of the Ozarks was wonderful, and the timing was perfect for me.
I'm not as picky about location, anywhere near the middle is fine with me, timing matters a little more. Late July or early August as we did this year would be wonderful.
Maybe a ticker tape parade for the inaugeral "FTE Missouri Chapter Truck of the Month"?....I'm just putting that out there...
Guys, I'd love to be there, assuming I get a date far in advance. Good idea to start planning it now. I have AIM, Yahoo, and MSN messangers in one program. I'm on the computer all the time since I live in the city, so don't feel like you can't reach me.
lol... no, I'm still STUCK with her. I'll see if she even notices this thread... she's been burying herself in books lately and doesn't see the light of day. what a nerd! What's homework?
sorry for the
Ryan

By that time I will have the outside of the truck done! So maybe a show and shine... definatly have to do lunch.....HEY I just happen to know a guy down that way that makes some awesome cookies and I hear he has this great Rueben sandwich that is to die for maybe we could talk him out of some space in his resturant for the meet and then he could cater lunch and I wouldn't have to cook. Then we could use his parking lot and alot of people would see it.
