This is why we need to figure out location. Once we get that figured out we can then see what kind of member participation we might have and we can see what kind of support we can get from any local businesses and such. We will then be able to plan any kind of activities and such to make it interesting.
I'm thinking either Waynesville or Lake of the Ozarks because we have members in the area that can help set things up.
If you think that you could help set something up in your area and it is more central than the previous locations please let me know.

Been trying t research on this as much as I can. Pawpaw daze this past year was near the end of september; Maybe that's a bit late for those who have kids in school... there are a couple options in the area, still, that we might be able to score without a huge outlay or getting squeezed into a corner somewhere.
My biggest concern for LOTO is crowding. most of the local establishments want reservations because if we don't buy it, someone else will, lol.... but in and near Waynesville there are a few small camp areas that are popular, but not overwhelmingly so...
I guess the real question is,do we want to do this in a crowded setting, or try to have this where we can, for lack of a better word, Control things? http://mga.drury.edu/projects/mopics/pulaski/intro.htm
seriously, it's a two day festival the first weekend in may, they have a battle of the bands, bluegrass music too, lots of stuff for kids to do, as well as the usual "FAIR FARE",lol.
For those who want to camp, there's camping nearby, with RV hookups, and for those who'd rather rough it in a motel, there's plenty of those too.
Some good ideas, thanks mrfixit. I'm starting to lean towards the paw paw days. It was a good time and I think it would be fun for everyone. I would like to get something decided soon. Maybe vloney can give us some info on which one would be best for us.
well since this thread is dead ill ressurect it...
im not sure where we have planed for the meet.. but i remember sedalia was a choce..
last year June 9-11 there was a big *** truck show in sedalia.. called dragfest... i didnt make it to the show.. but i made it to the after party right on mainstreet.. had to have been over 2000 people. (including 10 chicks that played in the sprinkler system at midnight) this show features either jacked way the f^*# up trucks... or bagged trucks sittin on the ground... so its got something for everyone.. and its a 3 day event... i know ill be going
Just a reminder. It's okay for anyone to have a get together. If you hear of some kind of car show, picnic, or anything and want to get some of the members together feel free to set something up. If someone just wanted to get everyone together for lunch or a bbq that is fine too. Hopefully we will have a bunch of get togethers in the coming year that will lead up to our official chapter meet.
I'll go to any of the places suggested but the date is more important to me. I've got a few weeks and scattered days where I can't go for sure. I Graduate this year so I'm going to meetings and crap then I have my cumbersome commitment to our theatre. I think the awards are good idea for different trucks. Maybe we could make em' outta old engine parts and junk so we don't have to spend money! Free is always good right?

I got some old parts laying around. I have Terry's award already made up, unless he wants to actually use it. Oh, wait, by the looks of the re-vote, he won't need the award!! Guess I'll just han on to it so I can give it to him to install!! Well, Terry??

Next week, I'll start arguing with the ex about summer plans for my little people. Could we get back on topic?
