Chevrolet in the late 1930's and early 40's offered a business coupe with a shorty bed that fit into the trunk area....so did Studebaker and Plymouth at roughly the same time...all for the US/Canadian market.
There were also plans in Popular Mechanics at the same time to build your own.
Has anyone here seen the 1950-51 Ford cars, among others that were turned into and custom built by coach makers, as Flower Cars? They resembled a sort of early Ranchero, and were done the right way as like a production vehicle off the line.
I haven't seen one of these in years, and wonder were they all disappeared to. those who remember were the vehicles that used to carry a full load of flowers in a Funeral Procession.
I found a pic of one of the Ford made Flower Cars in a book that I have. I am going to try and upload it here. I remember seeing quite a few of these Ford Custom Bodied Cars when I was a kid.
I guess they used these for the not so wealthy homes, anyway here goes. [IMG][/IMG]
