Bob your always willing to help. Glad to be on this site with great people like you guys. Hope everything works out for him. I will leave you some rep points.
I really wish I could have gotten to him yesterday and been more mech inclined to help Troy. Troy seems to be very good at fixing his rig when he is away frm home. He delivers trailers from AZ to the midwest and other areas.
I will always offer my assistance to any FORD truck owner here, I have gained a lot of knowledge from the great people here and want to reciprocate.

That's What I'm Talking About
Seems to be the FTE way.
Rep point left and deserved.
He called today asking about torque values for the injector hold downs. I told him what they were and suggested that he also check the torque on his rocker arm bolts while the valve cover was off. I wished him good luck.
Has he gotten it going yet?
I forgot to ask him about the loose up-pipe.
Troy has always bragged how awesome this forum was but I never actually believed how much you all do for each other until now! My husband is on the road now with his dad following close behind him. It is still running a little ragged but hopefully he can make it home to fix it completely.
I do agree with those of you who suggested we get rid of the truck. But, unfortunately, he doesn't agree with us. Thanks to all that responded and called Troy on his cell to offer their home and/or help. Bless you all for your kindness and advise! I'm sure once he gets internet access, he will thank you as well and tell you exactly what is going on with his truck.
I am glad to hear he is back on the road.
He seemed confident on the phone that he and his father would get the truck going and be OK
I felt like I should do more and get out there, but Troy assured me he was going to be good to go.
Def tell him to call me first if he ends up near Chicago again.
I may be heading ou to AZ soon and look forward to meeting more AZ FTE members.

I'm assuming he made his way to his father's house to go over the truck with a fine toothed comb and repair as needed. I'll give him a call later on today and see if I can't find out anything. Right now it's too early to call and be polite.
Injector fixed and running fine, except another problem presented itself in a loud presentation during the run back to the holding yard.
The engine was making a racket sooooo loud that I thought I lost a crank bearing or rod....Troubleshooting here goes....no rear oil leak means seal is ok. No white smoke means no low compression aka bent rod or slammed valve.
Minor vibration to irritating vibration.....Cause
BROKEN FLYWHEEL....VERY COMMON ON 7.3 and I know exactly where she initially went so follow me as I tell you how stout this flywheel has been
1st broke and made noise in Turon Kansas 800 miles from yard. So here is the trucks venture with a broken flywheel
Indiana to Montana, down to Omaha to tow a broken Ford Dually to Mt Vernon Ohio, back to Indiana to take a 5th wheel to Salt lake City, empty to Lake Tahoe to pick up a $350,000 38' fountain to Waukegan , Il came to stoplight 5 miles from drop off, shut her down to save her life, turn key and clunk....now get her running and take her another 200 plus miles to the yard and drop out flywheel and what do we find? She has spun out the middle and was only holding by 2 nubbs...wow.
WAIT THE ADVENTURE IS NOT OVER. Hooked up and left on Wednesday with my pop and Thursday, never left Missouri. 256k on his 04 6.0 and he lost the oil cooler on his engine. The oil pushed over into his cooling system and literally exploded the water bottle. This is not an easy task to fix but just as easy as a injector on ours. Complete dissasembly of top of engine but not to follow the instructions or info by dealership. They want you to take off turbo, but this can be done be just removing the housing ...blah blah blah. Got home at 2 am Sunday morning. 600 for cooler, 60 for the water bottle.
Many thanks to Dan, Bob, Robert and to the others that called to help me or wrote me so my wife could read to me. Im sorry Im not good with all the names that I should have remembered in my stressed time. Once again this is why I joined this forum. Troy and Cindy Kennedy
That's a good long drive on a broken flexplate. Glad to hear you are back on the road.
Sorry I didn't have the chance to call you back per my previous post. Grandson was over and he was needing my attention and got distracted.
No problem, im currently taking all that I have learned and giving to others.....I have a new problem...Truck fired up cold, shut off. Fired up shut off.....about 5 times and had to throttle up and it tried to shut down and threw a warning light...got it warmed up and kept running. Wondering if the ebpv is throwing a code back and shutting her down?
Check your HPOP oil level tomorrow morning before you start the engine to make sure that it is not low, running out and causing that stall before the LPOP has a chance to fill the reservoir.
