lowered I beams

Hey Guys, i need some local help. im trying to find a place here in town to purchase lowered i beams for my 67. I spoke to a guy at the car show on 51st and bell at chilli bombers and he told me there was a place in mesa i think where he got his for around $200 or less. if anyone knows the name of this place or somewhere else i can pick up a set fairly cheap besides the internet i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks Troy

Troy,

Drop beams run over 570 bucks. Go back to chilli bombers and smack him upside the head.

To do this correctly you will spend well over a grand for a whopping three inches of drop.

Can't help you out with the Beams but I saw you driving yesterday with your puppy.

How much lower you looking to go?

hey thanks guys for the quick answers. i thought the same thing about the price of the beams but the guy seamed pretty honest about the price.
yeah Jon my little shadow or dog goes everywhere with me. im not really looking to go much lower then i have it right now but just want to correct the angle on the tires in the front a bit. what i did was flip the mounts in the back which gave me about 5 inch's of drop in the rear and i just cut one coil out of the front to match, but it put a little more angle then i wanted. i knew this going into it. i have plans to swap in a crown vic front end and a 4-link in the rear and full air-ride down the road, but im in the process of buying a new house and don't have time for that now. i figured if i could swap in some drop beams for a couple hundred bucks for the time being i would. oh well back to the drawing board. hahaha if anyone else knows of the mysterious place in mesa that sells i-beams for cheap please let me know. thanks Troy

You could probably get away with just bending the beams for now. I wouldn't spend to much to get the drop beams if your going to do the CV swap.

Bend? You mean heat em up and bend them out alittle? I thought about that. I think I might just hurry the cv swap up.

No one will bend/drop Twin I beams. We tried it at industrial Chassis. Not enough meat between the king pin and suspension through bolt. You can raise them but not drop.

Oh ya forgot that they were doing that for lifting the truck a couple inches instead of lowering it.

airbagit.com is the place in Mesa. I don't think that they are that cheap. They sell the aims beams. There is controversy on whether they are as good as the djm beams. I hear things both ways. I have never used either so I can't answer the question if they are good or not. I have a friend that has the airbagit beams and he is happy with them but I have heard negatives about them too.

Thanks guys. I checked out the airbagit.com site, very cool stuff. Just wish I had unlimited money supply to buy everything I need. I did visit the junkyard today and found a perfect 2005 CV donar car that I'm going back in the morning to pull the front suspension on it. Tired of messing around just gonna break down and do it right. Thanks again guys for the info and the help. Ill keep u posted on the swap. Ill take tons of pictures even though I don't know how to post them Hahahaha.

Troy, I should be test fitting the hood kits for the 67-72 this weekend on a truck. They will be ready not to long after that.
Are you going to the car show in Surprise on Saturday? I am thinking about going.

Sweet man. If you need a test truck or some one to show them off for you, I volunteer. Hahaha. No I'm not going to the car show, I'm on shift tomorrow.
I did however pickup a very nice 2005 crown Vic front end today from the pick a part on 83rd ave south of van buren. Got it for less then $380, including power steering pump and sway bar. The guys at that yard are very cool if anyone need parts I highly recommend them. Now I just have to install the thing.
