November Tuttle run.
I'm looking forward to it. Should be cool and the bugs should not be a problem. There is a daily vehicle fee (unless you have a yearly permit like I do) for Fancey Creek. And a camping fee if you want to camp. If you are just going to drop by for a campfire and are not camping don't worry about the vehicle permit. http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/news/state_parks/park_fees There is a fee to shoot. $10 a person for non members. http://www.kdwp.state.ks.us/news/other_services/education/hunter/shooting_ranges/fancy_creek_range
I have some targets and three or four boxes of .38's I need to shoot up for the empties. I have mostly Cowboy type guns. Cartridge and cap and ball. They shoot smokeless and black powder. I can bring .45 Colt, .44 Colt, .44 cap and ball, .38 cap and ball, and .38 spl. to shoot. If you want to shoot something I have let me know.

Dates have been set. It will be the second weekend of November. The 10th through the 12th.

I have this on several boards. Just need to start getting stuff lined out a bit. I need a head count so I'll have enough stuff for folks. I guess I need to let folks know what I'm going to provide and let them know what they will be responsibile for.
I'm going up Friday but I don't have anything planned except a campfire for that night. I'm just going to set up camp in Fancy Creek campground and kick back. Not even going to cook. Might try the pizza place in Roandolph. Just set around smoke ceeegars and drink coffee or maybe a bit of sippin whiskey late that night. I'll have a pound of Arbuckles coffee beans and a grinder if you want. I'll have Folgers flavor crystals if you get tired of cranking the handle on the grinder. This will be at the campground. Please bring your own favorite beverages for the rest of the weekend. If you want to camp there is a $6.00 vehicle permit and a $7.50 camping fee per night. I have an yearly vehicle permit. And one camping fee covers two tents. I can sleep in my truck and Clint will have a tent so we will have room for another tent if someone wants to split the camp fee. If we get a bunch that wants to camp you guys might want to see about spliting camping fees also. I'll have a big jug of sippin whiskey I'll bring out to share for folks that want a taste Friday and Saturday nights. This will be after everything is done and cleaned up and all that is left to do is to watch the campfire and then crawl (eh...I sleep in my truck. I have to crawl. Not enough room to walk in.) into bed. If you want to go up and wheel Friday please do. I'll have my cell phone and if you get in trouble Friday afternoon give me a call and we'll be up to give you a hand (after we take pictures of course).
Right now I have Clint, Kenny, Rollie,Tony H. and I for friday. So I count at least 4 for breakfast on saturday morning. I'll have coffee, bacon, eggs, and biscuits. Rollie your welcome to camp and I have the extra tent and stuff to sleep two. Haven't heard from Ian and Travis. They would get second dibs on the tent. Saturday is the shootin day for those who want. It cost $10 per person to shoot. So bring $10 if your going to shoot. Last time folks were able to watch from the parking lot for free. I have extra sets of eye and ear protection. If you have your own please bring them. I have targets and shootin irons and bullets if you'd like to try them out. I have a few targets we can use. They sell targets at the range and you can bring your own if you want. You don't have to shoot. If you want to wheel instead of shootin please go ahead. I'll have my cell phone if you get in trouble we can come up and give you a hand. The range opens at 10:00 AM and closes at 4:00 PM. I will knock off about 3:00 PM to head back and clean up the irons and start cooking for Saturday night. If you want to stay the extra hour and shoot your own stuff please do.
You will be responsible for your noon meal. I will most likely have a big sandwich.
Saturday night I'll have a big tub of chili. I'll have cheese, onions, tortias, corn chips, and beans to go with it. If you'd like pizza instead just let me know. I'll have the fixins and I may ask you to make your own. It's really easy. That way if you want light or heavy sauce or cheese you can do what you want. You can bring your own toppings or tell me what you like and I'll bring it. I'll do a couple or three cobblers. Apple, cherry and maybe a peach.
Sunday morning I'll have eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits. Then after we clean up, head out to the ORV area. We'll try to be there about 10:00 AM and set the CB's on channel 13. Wheel for a few hours and head back to the parking lot about 12:30 to break for lunch. Again you will be responsible for your noon meal. After lunch we'll head back out to wheel.
So I guess the list of stuff I'll provide is:
Campfire Friday and Saturday night.
Breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning for those camping.
Chili, pizza on request, and cobbler Saturday night.
Coffee at the campsite.
Shootin Irons, targets, ammo and gear.
Water and soap for washing up at the campsite.
Sippin whiskey for late Friday and Saturday night
You will be responsible for:
Beverages.
Noon meals.
Camping and shootin fee's
YOUR OWN CHAIR. (Joe this IS for you)
Anything else you want that I have not listed.
