Ive got another couple questions for you guys. How do i take off the steering wheel? Should I use relays to any of the electrical things? Do i have an ampmeter or a volt meter? I am going to replace some other wire, will it hurt it if I use bigger wire? What would you guys suggest? Again thanks For the help!!
Brannon, Whoa big fella! Slow down a minute. Think about this. Don't start a new thread with the same issue (electrical). Just add your new question to the original thread (kinda like a historical document) and this helps us older guys keep up with you youngsters. To remove the steering wheel, disconnect the battery, remove the horn button (push down with the palm of your hand and twist left), remove the retaining nut, mark the position of the wheel in relation to **** position on the steering shaft, install a puller and pull the steering wheel off. Using any method other than a puller WILL damage the wheel. Take the horn brush out and put it somewhere safe.

For the relays I would reuse them if they are good. No sence in replacing what is good.
Do you have a C and a D on your gauge face or #'s? "C" stands for charge and "D" stands for discharge or drain depending on who you talk to. This by the way is a ampmeter. If you have #'s it's a voltage gauge.
Brannon, Go down to your local auto parts store, or sears, ask the counter guy for a steering wheel puller. The tool will cost about 30 bucks, some auto parts stores will rent you one and explain how to use it.

I don't have a gen-u-ine Steering Wheel Puller, but a flywheel puller fits fine and does the trick.
A shot of penetrating oil won't hurt the process a bit, and just ease the bolt tighter on the puller, sometimes a sharp rap with a mallet (on the puller, not the wheel) will 'pop' the wheel off safely without reefing the bolt down to 300 foot pounds. The only reason I took the wheel off is I had the old gal aligned and some parts replaced, and the steering wheel was off just enough to annoy me everytime I drove it. Dead center now, much better.
