Disconnect the speedo

I have a 2006 F-150 ext 5.4. Is it possible to disconnect the electronic speedo without doing any damage? How do I do it?

The components that provide the signal to the speedo also pass it to the PCM and tranny. If it's disconnected you'll have shifting problems and performance issues.

*LOL*. Sorry for breaking the law guys. Anyways. I was just curious if it could be done is all. I had a 92 mustang GT. That was an easy one. To pull. I had to do it in order for the speedo to read correctly in a gear change. I tried it with it out and it worked other then cruise and speedo. So I was curious if it would work on a digital read out. Nothing more then that guys. Maybe I will find it, pull it and let you know just exactly what happens.
