Dual Steering Stabilizer?

ok guys, i need your help again. ive finally come to the decision that i need a new steering stabilizer. hitting small bumps on the road makes the wheel jerk around alot, and it's a task to keep it within the lines. so, i want a dual steering stabilizer as i plan to very soon upgrade to 18" wheels and 35" tires. i have bilstein 5100's on my rig and i would like it if someone made a kit with the bilsteins, or if i could purchase them seperately. thanks!

I am thiming about upgrading to dual stabilizers fromnone as of now, I am not sure if the former owner removed the single unit because of damaged shock or what.
I def want to get it done soon!

Was wondering myself. Am picking up a new 06 on Sat and it don't have a steering stabilizer. I felt the wheel jerk on the test drive. Was wondering the cost and where do i find it? Also looking for a leveling kit that i could put on myself.

Rancho makes the complete kits dual or single. I would just go with the dual. I'm sure one of the sponsers of this site have them or just run a search.
they come with dust covers and easy to install

My previous SD (2002 SuperCab 5.4 V8) did not come ordered with the off road kit so it didn't have the steering stabilizer. I bought the OEM stabilizer and bracket from Ford and installed it myself. Just so you know, there is a little notch on the axle tube to mark where the bracket goes. I forget the price but it wasn't too bad I don't think. Alternatively, you might be able to locate a wrecked SD and get the stabilizer and bracket for fairly cheap. Just a thought.

My present SD (2003 CrewCab V10) does have the FX4 package with the Rancho's and steering stabilizer and I am considering whether it needs a new one or maybe even duals. That would mean a new bracket to house the duals.

Most of the manufacturers that make dual-stabilizer set-ups have a Bilstein option. They just call the shocks "Signature" or "Select Series". Here's a picture of my DR kit w/Bilsteins. There's a stock stabilizer laid across the top of the front Bilstein.

The Donahoe Racing dual stabilzer setup is nice since it keeps the stabilizers in line with the tie rod, as opposed to hanging below it like most kits do.

The DR stabilizers are nice since they are clear powdercoated to protect them.

I was searching through the different posts to find a new stabilizer - I think I may go with the DR setup - a bit costly at $235 just for the bracket - but they make some good hardware.

I just did both the stabilizer (really should be called a dampener) and the Bilstein HDs. I went with a single, Rough Country stabilizer. Much larger than stock, bolts into the stock location. Takes no time to install and the difference in steering effort is easily apparent. Based on my experience, I'm very glad I did not go with a dual setup. The "return to center" effort is significantly increased with the new single unit. I can't imagine what a dual must feel like. I like power steering and would prefer to keep it feeling like power steering. I'm not going offroad, won't put monster tires on the truck so I went with the single. $39 shipped on ebay and I'm pleased. Lastly, because it replaces the stock unit, you don't see it so who cares what it looks like 6 months from now?
