The sensor is located at the front of the engine, behind the tensioner pully and below the hpop plastic cover. You will see a plug on the top of the sensor, and coming from underneath is a steel tube that works its way around and to the passenger's side exhaust manifold.

Here's what I did with my truck: I pulled the plug off, removed the sensor, and on the sensor itself put a 1/8" NPT cap to cover it. For the steel tube I put a 1/8" NPT plug and tightened it down. The sensor is plugged back into the electrical harness and it is zip tied out of the way and hidden by the plastic hpop cover. Both the 1/8" NPT cap and plug was purchased at Home Depot, check their plumbing section.

You need to plug the tube, otherwise you'll get exhaust spewing out under the hood, not to mention a nice leak which will reduce boost and drive up egt's.

Also by doing this instead of just unplugging the electrical connection is that the sensor is still "working" in a way so you don't go throwing codes.

I believe it was JTHarvey that first posted this idea on the forums, I just learn and pass on the info.

the code for the EBP under or above desired level is because the sensor is not reading the correct pressure. i believe removing the sensor with a 1" socket and blowing the sensor and tube out with compressed air can fix it. however i think the problem you have might be the backpressure valve actuator, and that can easily be unplugged and left unplugged so that the EBPV wont close. the actuator and pressure sensor are two different sensors in the same system. do you remember the PO### of the code?
