What an assnine thing to say,, Thats your opinion,, wrong as it may be..
Actually, it isn't wrong.....I guess you missed the post by Fredvon4, where he ran independent dyno tests, and the posts by others, that stated the K&N was a waste. You haven't said, but I'm going to guess you wasted your
money on a K&N too....

Don't guess with the narrow mind you have..I've read every post, if you read my post, you'd saw I was reffering to high performance Motors..I don't care what you put or don't put on your whatevers.. I have a SBT ( same design as a K&N, Just bigger ) filter on my modified Ford Lightning , 400 + RWH, When I can get 3-5 lbs more boost with that type filter,, thats what I need..I don't have one on my V10, cause a stock motor won't benifit from more flow..
And the original question for all was " in my 04 v10 i put in a K&N air filter. i got a little better gas mileage, not much but a little. i recently took it out to clean it and i cleaned it numerous times and it would not come copmletely clean. any one else had this problem?"
How to clean,, not if they were better or worse than paper

Was he the one that saw the 7hp difference with the K&N?

I see no need to get so heated as to call a man narrow minded, especially when you pointed out that he may have missed the fact you mentioned high performance. Can we all just get along?
The Whipple cost me $4000. The dealer that I bought it from charged me $1000 for labor. But, he also installed the Water Injection Kit, Electric Fans, and Electric Water Pump that was included in the price for labor.

When I feel attacked (you need to read his post), I don't play dead..
