The electronics are the main hitch, otherwise, the bell from a 460 of course, and you will likely have to fab something up a bit for the crossmember, and rework the driveshaft. I'm not sure where to find the controller aftermarket for the overdrive trannies.
Here are a couple of threads that you might find interesting. These involve the swap of a ZF to a 351M/400. Of course the tranny belhousings are the same for a 351M/400 and 429/460. These threads might give some idea what is involved. I think these folks were replacing existing manual transmissions though.
As far as automatic overdrive transmissions, I know I've seen it discussed and it's doable, easier with an AOD than E4OD if I recall. Don't have any threads handy on that.

you could put a built aod in behind the 460 with an adapter plate, I think from art carr or some place like that. should be able to use stock shifter with maybe slight modification, and add a lokar tv cable. driveshaft and yokes might need to be addressed as well.
