There are two large rubber hockey puck shaped bushings on either side of the front frame of my 94 Ranger (2WD, 2.3L) that are dried, cracked and worn out. They are located just behind the radiator support sheet metal (which I also need to replace). What are these bushings called - cab mounts? Even though they aren't under the cab?
The dealer wants about $70 apiece for them, and I need four in total. I've tried searching on some suspension sites for urethane options, but without knowing what they're called makes it difficult to know what I'm getting.
Can anyone help, or have any recommendations? I tried posting a picture of my bushings several times, but gave up in frustration.
dwill: sounds like you're talking about the radiator core support bushings. They work together with the cab rubber bushings. For new cab and core support bushings go to www.jamesduff.com . They sell replacement bushings for the rangers and body lift kits also. They offer kits with all the bushings needed for either a regular cab or supercab. I'm not real sure if they offer the bolts, nuts and washers to replace the old ones though, so you may need to purchase them from a different source.
