Do it .......you will love the power. I was running 30" tires with 4.56 and my truck was damn fast..Running 33.5" Nitto Tg and they sure robbed the power
Just make sure you get a good cai (airforce 1 or Airaid and Volant) not a mit good free flowing exhaust (magnaflow I like aeroturbine) not slowmaster they suck and a good tune (diabloSport some of the best custmer service.. SCT and Edge)that will lower your rpm's a bit at least it did for my truck
Thank you 2004 screw I did invest in the airaid headers dual fans spacer for throttle body wonder if I should go ahead and increase the maf and throttle body I want the truck to have some grunt off the line and do 60 feet its for 1/8 mile (grin) what you guys think ?? I am going to add NOS to the truck prob hit it when I use it at 75 shot I use NOS on my 66 nova its a cross between show and pro street ....

Reason: forgot NOS
I wouldnt want to turn 2500rpms at 70mph. But thats your own preference, its all what your looking for. Like 2004 SCREW said...you will pretty much have a very fast truck! But I bet the gas sucks, haha! And IMO save your money on the cold air kit...your stock setup works fine, volant would prob be best due to its design...but most cold air kits..."arent really cold air kits" your stock setup draws more cold air in then they do!
Thanks for the info Stang302 I bought the truck because I wanted to make it fast as possible before adding NOS and a turbo or supercharger. I do't drive it much got her in November and today she has 923 miles on her. I basically style with it and go to the strip never ran it yet. I do have a sct II for it so that stuff will change as things progress. I wish I had a family member in Texas that way I would not give a cra* aboout fuel pricing (BUT it's outta reason ) kinda reminds me of the 70's if you were around you would get the drift..
thansk again any other thoughts or ideas send em this way appreciate any help
thanks don
DonyBoy1...definately 4.56s then if your going to the strip Sounds like a fun play toy, we have a 2000 GT thats dynoed at about 450HP/450ft lbs to the rear wheels. Thats our play toy. Let us know how she runs when you get it to the track, id like to know...have fun
You prob have 3.55 or 3.73s...not sure. Get underneath your truck, there should be a tag on the rear diff, "hog head" that will state what ratio you have!
