blank odometer
I have a 2000 F150 4X4, 5.4L, auto. Daily driver, no off roading. On startup the odometer stays blank (not lite up), after a few miles it will come on. At times while driving it will grow dim jor go completly out. The readout is tracking the miles just goes blank sometimes. Pretty sure just a short or loose connection just dont know were to start looking. Any ideas tanks in advance.

I think there is a post somewhere about that. I believe some one had removed the cluster assembly, resoldered the connection on the circuit board. My 99 does the same thing. I've just left it alone. Try doing a search here.
