99' EXP-odometer display black out
My Odometer display sometimes will go blank, no lights at all.
Sometimes it will re-display after a few miles, sometimes it won't.
I have no clue what this may be. Anybody ever had this issue before?

Here's a thread that showed an odometer fix:

You could use the same principle to get to the contacts that connect the tach and speedo to the main board. Simply clean the contacts and possibly use some conductant (lightly) and put the unit back together.
The whole process may take you about an hour but worth a try.
PS...Remember to disconnect the battery 1st.
Good luck,
Tim

welcome. You've found the secret - searching the forums usually uncovers a world of info. I've yet to try cleaning the contacts, but can't imagine what else would cause the sporatic behavior of my speedo and tach. Good luck w/ yours.

D2EBMA, Thx, for your insight on searching!
BTW,
I 'm a member of a few other forums related mostly to marine engines that don't have half as much user input as this one. I have to admit this forum is GREAT! it has alot of useful information.
