A few years back, I was in Warren, MI, went to a local car show and saw a guy with a 50 something Ford Panel Delivery Truck......air brushed on the back doors where
"Built Ford Tuff, With Chevrolet Stuff!", it was a hoot - of course he was taking some heat from the Ford crowd, but the Chevy crowd was taking picture after picture after picture.....I know this doesn't help answer your question, but I thought that everyone would find it amusing!

Real ford people don't put chevy engines in thier rigs, so that means chevy people are buying fords, and installing thier engines. So that says alot for ford, when chevy people are buying them, instead of a chevy, so do the math, ford must be better, even in thier minds!

I just have a hard time explaining these things to myself- The workers at Ford, assemble Lincolns trucks, Rangers, Mustangs, Super Dutys, etc and all the rest. The same thing goes on at G.M. and D.C. And they all eat and drink the same things, sit on the same toilets, their children look the same, and if they accidentally went to the wrong plant after lunch, they could just carry on building vehicles as if nothing had happened. Even the ones that drank beer would be able do this while joking and laughing.
It's nice, of course, to love our chosen product, and to think that our product is the best. I and all of us here do. But when you are building on your vehicle why do you fabricate parts and shoehorn an engine in, when you can purchase the things you need to make the job easier anywhere.
Remember, these are only metal trucks, not kinfolk. I'll sell mine as soon as Ford changes them a little. Then a new love affair starts.

I had enough room I actualy ran the factory steel bladed fan.

also had a ranger with a 350 sbc in it. And ive seen a v10 and a 460 in one.
A V10 in a Ranger? I almost have to call bull on that one...unless the firewall was hacked or it was one of the F100 Rangers of the late 70s. A dang 2.3L doesn't leave alot of room between the front of the engine and the radiator.

It can be done, anything can be done I supose, putting a 300 I-6 in a bronco 2 would be no easy task because of it's short nose. I remember that ranger big foot, it was called little foot, it had a 460 in it, but those trucks use a hand built tube frame. Big foot also had an aerostar with a 460, called mrs.foot.

They could use the Ranger chassis to make a new Bronco. The new Mustang looks like the old one and everybody likes it. They would like a new Bronco made off the Ranger too. Could have a V8 too. Could have a diesel.

Ford really needs to bring back the little bronco, and I dont mean that front wheel drive thing from the auto show. That body was ok, but it needs a drive train true to it's heritage, one that can rival the jeep wrangler, and humer h3. There is an offroad market that ford is letting get a way. Everything doesn't have to be for a soccer mom.
