e250 6.0 Trans Cooler install
Then I decided I needed more room to work so I removed this along with the bottom piece of sheet metal:
Them fabbed up a couple of brackets from flat stock since it wasn't quite wide enough. Test fit:
After the test fit I hooked up the hoses and bolted it in:
Added one of these to prevent over cooling, especially in the winter time:
While the grill was out I figured I would give this stuff a try:
Making some nice progress on it:
Got it ready to put back in:
Getting it all put back together:
And the final result:
With the size of it I did have to do a little trimming of the bottom sheet metal piece and cut a couple of lower mounting tabs off the grill. If there is any rattling I may have to add a couple of alternate mounting points. But over all it is mounted solidly. The whole van rocks when I shake the cooler. My only concern is that it may reduce the airflow through the radiator, but only time will tell.
