If you are going to go though the amount of work and effort that would be required to put a 350 into a Ranger. Why not consider what someone else suggested an put a 4.6 V8 out of a mustang in there. Here is a link that shows it being done.

He allready owns this gift from the gods chevy masterpiece, so he doesn't have to purchase an engine. If it would be me, I would sure enough trade it for a good ford engine.

Then why do you own a ford? If the engines aren't any good, then neither is the rest of the truck. Dude, you need a chevy sooo bad, if I was rich I would buy you one just to get you away from ford. I am done with this post, if you other guys want to feed his ego, it's all yours!

I hate Chevys too. I think that they all belong in the scrap pile. I will always buy a Ford over a Chevy anyday.

I know I said I was done here, but call me bus driver, cause I'm fixen to take you to school. Ford builds the B-seres trucks for mazda, on the ranger assembly line, here in the usa, mazda built the courier for ford in japan. Both the ranger, and B-seres trucks are built by ford in a america. some parts on the ranger are mazda, but who cares? Ford owns mazda!!!!!!!.......and land rover, jaguar, austin martin, volvo, and lincoln-mercury, part of international harvester, part of cummins diesel, and I still think part of new holland, because they still except ford employee pricing. Thats like saying the chevy colorodo is built by isuzu, when it's the other way around, but who cares, gm owns them both. CLASS DISMISSED!

Actually when you say part of Cummins you mean International! As in the manufacturer of the god all mighty POS powerstroke!!! Cummins has been OWNED by dodge since the 70's. It's sad when ford can't come up with a tranny to handle just a little turque for the diesels engines that gaurantee have a chevy part on it in one way shape or form! As in the true heritage of the International engine? Chevy block, dodge heads, ford crank+rods+piston OR WHATEVER crazy mix they got to work together!

Here's another perspective. There is a motor out there that not a single ford motor can touch. It's a motor in many GM production cars. That's the Northstar. Ever heard of it? Cadillacs aren't worth $50k for nothing. What ab the STS-V? I realize it's a $77k car, but this is 469hp at the wheels. These motors will get 21mpg in town if you're easy on them. Up to 28mpg on the highway.

Btw: You honestly mean to tell me that you wouldn't own a cadillac? Then you haven't been in one!

OH YEAH I would own a caddy! Only at that price range its just a little out of my financial capabilities at the moment. However if I was to own one it would be the XLR-V!! That same 469 HP motor in a caddied up corvette! Thats is the most desirable car out today under $250,000 in my opinion!

Yay! Some signs of intelligent life in this thread!!! lol jk I watched as my brother wasted a 5.0 mustang with his rental DTS. That thing was weak compared to the normal production Caddillacs. This one ONLY had 300hp, haha. Was limited at 112 too, that's a shame. I hit 135 in my mother's Seville SLS.

Be forewarned, putting a gm motor in a Ford vehicle will make its actual value to me absolute zero, and you shall suffer eternally in the flames that burn but do not consume for your sin. now, you have been warned, any further action is your choice.

FORD IS PART OWNER OF CUMMIN'S, NOT DODGE, I READ IN FORD WORLD A COUPLE YEARS AGO, WHEN THEY BOUGHT IT. They went in as partners with some rich texas business man, or something like that. Lincoln is behind the eight ball compared to caddy. Ford is very capable of building any engine to match caddy, that they feel they have a need for. For some reason, they must not feel they need to compete with the northstar, I don't agree, but I'm not Bill Ford either. The lincoln brand has become boring, and bland. I think ole Bill is fixen to change that, hopefully!

O yeah mr. intellegence, a mustang is a 25,000 dollar car. When you have a 40,000 dollar mustang, like the new shelby, lets see where your nortstar stacks up then, when it's a little more equal footing money wise, The mustang gt is one of the best performance cars on the market for the price, and it looks the best at any price. Isn't there a gm forum somewhere, that some of you guys can bless with your love, and devotion, seems alittle out of place here.
